DTL began its journey in 1984 as an OEM Truck Body manufacturing being Ancillary to DCM Toyota Ltd at Greater Noida, Due to turn of events it got shifted to Pune as Ancillary to Tata Motors Limited (TML) in 1996. Backward integrated in year 2000 into Cold Roll forming technology.

Further penetrating by hiving off CRF as a separate manufacturing facility for Auto (TML), Railways (ICF) with strong focus for new development to serve customer in various segment Coaches, Metro, Wagons including Auto and Engg. division.

Raised growth capital via private equity from renowned investors to expand manufacturing facilities to scale up the operations to stay relevant in competitive environment . Added manufacturing facilities with scope of future expansion in meeting the company stated vision. 5-6 years later we gave honourable exit to our PE investor in honouring our agreement for the same.

In order to expand field of operation in railways from purely steel based to diversified turnkey furnishing by collaborating with SMTC France thereby learning finer aspects of design and application of advanced material & processes then in vogue in G8 nations back in 2018-19. Thereby qualifying to become turnkey contractor to railways for furnishing besides 70 complete SS shell for Cape Gauge manufacturing then under taken for prestigious export order received by M/s. RITES Ltd.

Won exclusive design and turnkey contract for LACCNE 200 coach from RCF for which our work was awarded with best innovative design of the year by railway board through RCF. We have tied with Hydro Belgium for receiving large aluminium extrusion to build aluminium coach shell we still await suitable opportunity to use the same.
